Charlevoix Seniors - Spring Love - 2011
I have known the Stebe family for a long time now. Our paths crossed sometime in 2004 and they immediately took my family in as their own and likewise.
Scott and Laura have 3 amazing children, Brennan the oldest is a student at Ferris State University, Cassidy the middle is graduating from Charlevoix High School in just a few days and Erin their youngest daughter is quite the talented singer.
I have had the privilege of watching their kids grow up and play a small part in their lives.
Recently I was able to do a favor for Laura and Scott by taking some photo's of Cassidy and her boyfriend Braiden Kanoop (also of Charlevoix, and also a Senior) before they graduate and embark along their life journeys.
These two make a great couple.
Far removed from the "faddy" or "trendiness" of high school relationships,
Cassidy and Braiden were a pleasure to shoot!
After graduation Braiden is going off to bootcamp in California for
the Marine Corps Reserves!
After completing his training he will attend College in Michigan.
Cassidy will be heading to Aquinas college this fall!
Normally when I shoot couples I ask a ton of question in an effort to get some
relaxation out of them. I asked Braiden and Cassidy to tell me an embarrassing story
about one another, they paused and thought for a moment, and both replied "I don't know any".
Then busted up laughing!
This is one of my favorites from the shoot. They both look so relaxed and open
with one another. Plus this old storage building and loading dock made for an awesome
backdrop.
We noticed these train tracks not too far from where we were currently shooting
so I asked Braiden and Cassidy to walk the tracks while holding hands.
Easy does it!
These two passed this team working exercise with flying colors!
Neither of them touched the ground once!
After the train tracks we headed down to the waterfront.
I had a plan to shoot in the grass but the spring time bugs were all over,
making it super hard to execute the original plan.
These two are troopers so we scoured around looking for a low bug
area and came away with some pretty awesome shots!
Life is a trip and these two young adults are fortunate to have each other.
Both are smart and steadfast in their choices and have bright futures ahead of them!
Good luck to both of you in all that you do!
